Srijon stages musical soiree

Artistes present songs of yesteryears at the programme

The other artistes included Mahiuzzaman Chowdhury, Soheli Parveen, Halima Begum, Manju Shaha, Bijon, Shikha Rouf and Nasreen Jahan. Directed by the chairman of Srijon Nurul Islam Polash, the instrumentalists were Nurul Islam Polash on the tabla, Ronny on keyboards, Abu Kamal on violin and Ashrafuzzaman on guitar. To promote and popularise the traditional music among the younger generation, Srijon organises such programmes on the last Saturday of every month. The programme began three years ago and continues to be successfully staged.
