Street theatre festival concludes in Tangail

Actors of Nagar Natyadal stage Sonar Koinna

Three theatre groups of Tangail--Nagar, Sanket, and Swadesh Natyadal participated, while five plays were staged in the festival.

The plays staged on the first day, were Adab by Nagar Natyadal (written by Mannan Heera and directed by Pronoy Das Shovon), and Asan by Sanket Nattadal (written by Zohirul Haque and directed by Moniruzzaman Moyna.).

The second day saw the staging of Kalir Shandhya by Swadesh Natyadal, written by Bazlur Rahman and directed by Kamruzzaman Ujjal.

The theatre works staged on the concluding day, were Shephali by Nagar Natyadal, written by Jasim Khan and directed Mahbubur Rahman, and Sonar Koinna by Nagar Natyadal, which was written by Sujan Khan and directed by Zohirul Haque Kiron.

The theatre festival was sponsored by Hazi Abul Hossain Institute of Technology (HABHIT) and inaugurated by Sanwar Hossain, chairman of HABHIT and also advisor of Nagar Natyadal.

Khandakar Nazimuddin, vice-president Tangail Public Library, presided over the inaugural function while Atikuzzaman Tutul, another advisor of Nagar Natyadal, attended as special guest.
