Students of NNID stage 'Khandani'

Reaz Rahman's adaptation of the French comedy is contemporary in the sense that Reaz satires the idiosyncrasies of the fashionable elite of country, through the story of a corrupt businessman named Mainuddin. Khandani portrays the superficial discussions of members of this class on an array of subjects such as cricket, music, dance, art and science. The play is directed by Imran Humayun Khan.

Before the show a discussion was held. Except the chief guest, novelist Abdus Shakur, all discussants at the certificate giving programme, are involved with the institute. The discussion was presided over by Dr Enamul Huq, the principal of the institute.

Lucky Enam, the chairperson of NNID, and Professor Biswajit Ghosh, an instructor of the institute also spoke at the event.

Discussants in the programme focused on the necessity of academic inputs for the theatre practitioners. Moreover, they also pointed out the remarkable endeavor of NNID as well as Nagorik Natyangan, the mother organisation of NNID.
