The Bengal Foundation came out with yet another album, consisting of Tagore compositions, titledTomar surer dhara. Sumita Naha, a Professor of Bangla, sang the Rabindra Sangeet numbers, while Durbadal Chattyapadhyay directed the music. A selection of 14 Tagore numbers have been released in this album and it is worth a mention, that most of the numbers are not the conventional Rabindra composition set one would find in a Tagore album. Some of the recorded numbers areTomay notun kore, Tomar surer dhara, Godhuli gogone meghe dhekechilo, Hridoy nandan bone nibhrito e niketon, Aaj shabar ronge rong meshaate hobe, Amaar jabar belay peechu daakeand many more.

Wahidul Haque, an eminent cultural personality, released the album at the Bengal Foundation on January 26. According to him, Naha's deep interest and an intense study of the classical music from Shri Mithun De, led her to indulge into this field. Singing Rabindra compositions has always been her passion. Wahidul Haque also hoped that she further develops her talent and acquires more interest in this field.
