The shooting ofSwapno Danay,a new venture by Impress Telefilm, began recently in the village of Porsha in Naogaon district. The village is inhabited by the indigenous people. Celebrated playwright Anisul Haque wrote the dialogue while the debutante director Golam Rabbani developed the screenplay for his own film.

Popular singer Mahmuduzzaman Babu also makes his debut as an actor in this film. Talented actors Rokeya Prachi, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Momena Chowdhury, Tushti and about 40 actors of the Barendra Natyagoshthi will play different roles in the film.

The story of the film revolves around the bio-diversity, natural beauty and lifestyle of the indigenous people living in the Barendra area of the northern part of the country. In the story, protagonist Babu is a poor Kobiraj -who earns his living by hawking ointments and playing magic tricks in the local fairs near the village. His 10-year-old son assists him in his magic tricks and his wife tries hard to maintain the family on a measly income. The twist of the story lies in the incident when the hawker gets a large sum of foreign exchange from a secondhand trouser bought for his son.

Shujeo Shyam is the music composer for the film, while the art direction is done by Tarun Ghosh.
