Telefilm 'Hatkura' on Banglavision

Zainul, a 30-35 year old man from a remote village of Rangpur comes to a doctor at a health-camp for consultation, as he is childless. Villagers mock him as hatkura, an impotent man. The doctor advises him to go to Dhaka for better treatment. Momena, his wife, young and beautiful, works at the house of the village headman (matbor). She never raises her voice against her husband's torture.

Meanwhile, Moti, a young man, is attracted to Momena and tries to win her favour in many ways. He tries to entice her to leave the hatkura for him. After getting treatment in Dhaka, hatkura Zainul returns to his village with a new realisation. He stops torturing his wife and starts to spend more time with her. Now Moti, deprived of an opportunity for intimacy with Momena, gets upset and one day chases Zainul off.

Fazlur Rahman Babu, Milon, Joya Ahsan, Mirana Zaman are the main cast members.

The play is scripted by Mashiul Alam and directed by Animesh Aich.
