Mohammad Faisal Fardeen is one of the well known ramp models of our country. In recent times, he has extended his ambit to include several films and television commercials (TVC). He has to his credit, successful TVCs such as Tiger energy drink in 2003 which was shot in Mumbai, Sharp stainless steel blade in 2003 and Walton motorbike.

His exploits were not limited to TVCs as he did several films too. He starred in Bhalobashar Mulyo Koto in 2002 along with Popy; in Villain he co-starred Purnima and in the film Rajdhani, directed by Mohammad Hossain Jamil. The film was released in Dhaka, London and New York. His latest film Milan will go on the silver screen on December 13.

Fardeen began his career as a ramp model in 2000 for Batexpo; an event organised by BGMEA and since then there has been no looking back. He did high-end shows for Mercedes Benz, BMW and simultaneously worked as a ramp model for designing school shows. The schools include BIFT, NIFD and Designers Inspiration. Fardeen began working for the prestigious Bibi Productions in 2004 and his last show was at Sonargaon on November 26. He hopes to go to New York this January with Bibi Productions.

When asked about his career choice, Fardeen said that had he not been a model he would have overseen his family business. Going back in time, he recalls a fashion photographer from Miami complimenting him by suggesting that he try his luck in the US. His most memorable moment, he says, was in 2004 when he was chosen as the grand finale model along with Nayanika Chatterjee.
