Theatre presents Madhovi
Galav, the young disciple of Vishwamitra, completing twelve years of study, firmly and repetitively insists on providing gurudakshina (mentor's due) to his guru. But the guru asks for the impossible. To satisfy the guru, he marries Yaati's daughter Madhovi. Because of the conflicts of reality, ego and conspiracy the couple suffers. At the end of the play, Madhovi is celebrated as the "Ideal Woman" for denying her female instinct. Ramendu Majumdar is the director of the play. Mustafa Monwar is the set designer while Nasirul Haque Khokon is the light designer.
Bohe Prantojon by Anushilon Rajshahi
Anushilon, Rajshahi will stage Bohe Prantojon by Moloy Bhowmick at 7:oo p.m. at the National Theatre Stage. It is the tale of the inhabitants on the border areas between Bangladesh and India. A river divides the people into two separate national identities, though their culture and language are same. The smugglers, to suit their purpose, use the villagers who are ignorant but innocent. The play shows the pathetic condition of the people who have connections with the evil doers.
Faiz Zahir is the director as well as the set designer of the play. Nasirul Haquer is the light designer.
