Tonatuni to visit India

Tonatuni, a theatrical group, will visit Kolkata to take part in the Bangladesh Festival, to be held from February 10 to 11, says a press release. In the festival they will stage two plays--Toray Bandha Ghorar Dimby Satyajit Ray and Kabor by 'Pallikobi' Jasimuddin. The press release also adds that the group will stage the two plays at viewers' demand in Dhaka, at the Experimental Theatre Auditorium of Shilpakala Academy on January 22 and 23.

Toray Bandha Ghorar Dim :. The group will stage nine rhyme pieces from the book through synchronised compositions. Mahabubur Rahman Joynal is the director of the play. The play takes one to the illusive world. The aim of the play is not only to provide entertainment but also to create civic sense among the viewers.

Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, a prominent music director of the country has composed music, whereas Tamanna Rahman has directed the dance. Master of light design, Tapas Sen, from India, is the light designer. Kirity Ranjan Biswas from India has designed the set, costumes and Muppets.
