A tribute to Feroza Begum
Citibank, NA is holding a special reception to pay a tribute to Feroza Begum a living legend in our cultural arena and one of the foremost exponents of Nazrul songs. The programme is going to be held today at 5 pm at Radisson Water Garden, according to a press release.
Feroza Begum has remained an inspiration to many and a leading light in the genre for over a half a century. Born in Faridpur district, she showed promise at an early age for her sincerity, devotion and has won numerous awards around the world. She has almost single handedly popularised and upheld the tradition of Nazrul songs.
