Actors of Udichi in the play Chilekothar Shepai

The play highlights days during the 'Mass Upsurge' of 1969. Living in an attic of a house in Old Dhaka, Osman silently witnesses the tyranny of the Ayub Khan regime and the struggles of the masses to ensure their basic rights. Osman is in conflict between different political views and groups. But eventually he comes out of his cocoon. Death of an individual whom Osman trusted boosts his morale.

Prabeer Sardar, Munim Islam Shimul, Ratan Deb, Nazmul Karim Shobuj, Fahmida Haq Koli, Joya Sengupta and others have played different roles in the play.
