Ushering young talents of Nazrul Sangeet

Four new artistes Bishawjit Shanyal, Roksana Khanam, Shahid Kabir Palash and Noushin Layla performed various songs of Nazrul like Fagun Furabe Jabe,Tumi Bhorer Shishir,Keno Megher Chaya, Bholo More, Mone Rakhar Din Giache to a packed audience. The melodious songs of Bihawjit Shanyal, in particular, touched the audience. Each of the performers presented one uncommon Nazrul song alongside other numbers.

The performers were accompanied on the tabla by Bisawjit Das and Taposh Chakraborti, flute by Gazi Abdul Hakim and guitar by Shakil Mohammad Dipon.

Ferdousi Rahman, The president of Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parishad said, 'The programme is aimed at promoting the upcoming talent and at the same time familiarising people with Nazrul Sangeet'. The general secretary, MA Mannan said, 'Our effort was to spread Nazrul Sangeet all over the country. With that end in view, we will try very soon to arrange such programmes in every district of Bangladesh.'
