War tale of Freedom Fighters

Prior to this year's Victory Day, Spectra Group has come up with a great endeavour to honour the freedom fighters. A grand reception will be accorded to the urban guerilla members of the Liberation War who executed many heroic operations in Dhaka city during the Liberation War. About three hundred young boys and girls will give the reception to 150 war heroes at the BIAM auditorium today afternoon.

The programme features the untold stories of the urban guerillas, their experiences during the war, stories of their women comrades and their help, their companions who sacrificed their lives and, above all, their patriotism that inspired them towards these heroic measures. Among the warriors will be people from different religious and political beliefs, the women freedom fighters, cultural personalities, businessmen, even day-labourers, rickshaw-pullers and motorcycle mechanics. Apart from their individual identities, the only identity they will bear on the occasion is that they are our valiant freedom fighters.

Titled Shetubandhan: Notun Projanmo O Dhaka Guerilla '71, the programme also features cultural show presented by artistes of the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendro.

The unique effort will surely let the young generation learn about some of the dramatic episodes of our Liberation War.
