We have got enough support to arrange the festival

Nagagorik Natyangan has arranged a 10-day long drama festival from December 27 to January 5, 2004. In the drama festival at the Public Library Auditorium, three Indian groups-- Dandik and Bhobishwat from Kolkata and Natyabhumi from Agortola and six local groups are taking part. To arrange such a big drama festival for a group like Nagagorik Natyangan is not an easy task. When this reporter talked to the Inam couple about the obstacles that they faced to arrange it, Dr. Inamul Haq said, 'We have got enough support from everywhere to arrange the festival. Specially, I like to thank the ministry of Cultural Affairs for allowing the Indian groups to come and to take part in the festival. And then, of course, I like to mention the logistic support that we got from the sponsors. You know I am teaching at BUET, and I think this reputation helped us a lot. Everybody also knows Lucky very well. For this, I think the Indian groups have responded to our invitation. And we are really grateful to our local friends for participating in the festival with their popular productions.'
