Wedding items and accessories exhibited

Besides the exhibition of the marriage materials of old Dhaka, the programme included kite exhibition of Sona Mian, various books published in Dhaka, lyre playing of Abdul Kadir, Chan Miah and his band presented instrumental versions of marriage songs. Dances were presented as well. Enam Ahmed Chowdhury, chief advisor of Dhakabashi was present as chief guest, says a press release.

A festival featuring different kinds of delectable Bakarkhani, a flaky bread with cheese stuffing, popular in the old part of Dhaka, was held at the same venue.

The function was organised by Elite Cosmetics Ltd. and social organisation Dhakabashi.
