Welcome winter with pithas at The Westin Dhaka

This year, capture the essence of winter with pithas at The Westin Dhaka. The Bengali culture of having piping-hot pithas in the cold is irresistible. This is when The Westin Dhaka has brought traditional Bengali pithas in hopes of reviving this age-old food culture.

The delicious pithas are served every day from 2 PM to 11 PM at Daily Treats, the ground floor cafe. A nostalgic palate of different traditional Bengali pithas are on offer with favourites such as Patishapta and Chitai Pitha with duck meat. Other delicacies to-die-for are Dudh Chitai Pitha, Shaj Pitha,Dudh puli,nokshi pitha and handmade lobongo lotika.

The delicacies are prepared by Chef Zarin Akhter Chowdhury, who is inspired by traditional recipes from her hometown. To embrace the Bengali origins of our pithas, all the ingredients are sourced locally from within Bangladesh to give it a very authentic taste.
