What do we see around us? Is this the ideal situation to live in? Is this hell or earth? Through the conversation of five female characters inChardeyal, a workshop-based studio theatre production of Palakar, lopsided contemporary social milieu takes centre stage. The characters in the play keep on searching for answers--often without success. Hope is the only inspiration that keeps them going.

Chardeyal has been developed through improvisation during a workshop. Director Aminur Rahman Mukul has refined the improvisation to convert it as a 'studio theatre'. Palakar staged the second show of Chardeyal at its studio at Baily Road recently.
