Wrishiz: A beacon for the flood affected
Wrishiz Shilpi Goshthi recently organised a concert at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in order to raise funds for the flood victims. Top singers of the country, including M Abdul Jabbar, Rathindranath Roy, Lili Islam, Ferdous Ara, Kumar Biswajit, Robi Chowdhury, Pothik Nobi and Fakir Alamgir, took part at the concert. Besides the musical performances, danseuses of Nrityalok performed a dance piece.
Besides helping the flood victims, an amount of Taka 10,000.00 would be donated for the treatment of Baul singer Abdur Rahman Boyati, it was announced by Fakir Alamgir, the helmsman of Wrishiz. Artistes also paid tribute to the late author Humayun Azad.
