To start the holiday season and celebrate Christmas in the grandest of manners, Hotel InterContinental Dhaka has unveiled the biggest Christmas tree cake in the history of Bangladesh. The 16-feet high cake was presented in a ribbon-cutting ceremony that took place in the hotel’s Café Social on Wednesday, 21 December. The 12-tier structure that is partly cake weighs over 1800 pounds and took the pastry team around 15-18 days to make. The cake is plum-flavoured and has been embellished with various traditional Christmas decorations.

Prominent fashion designer and Vice-President of the Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB), Emdad Hoque, passed away at a private hospital in Dhaka city on Friday. He was 57.

The indefinite scarcity of resources defines the ongoing state of Period Poverty for 1.25 billion women and girls wide across the globe (The World Bank, 2022). The living conditions tend to worsen — as inflation surges worldwide.
