Commitment

  I
In the coming spring I will love you
	After the incomplete kiss.
There will drop some dried leaves.
	Wiping out the foot-signs
There will be written new murmuring time.
After the deep silence in this way
	Comes the follower-sunlight,
	Day script, the engraved future.
You mind it we are the morning
	Rising from the stone inscription
	These palm lines, punctuation-marks,
	Bone and marrow memory
	The perspiration-bead
I have the soaked hand here.
	Here will be spring-festival
	After the end of humidity.
            II
	I have written the commitment
In the screaming of tears and dejection.
I have written love in unwritten daily journal.
The violent jump of the continual water –fall
	In the moderate heart.
Being floated in the ongoing stream
I have also the perturbed day of dolphin
Yet at the end of last Chaitra-festival.
	In water and moonlight
I have written you the sounds
	Of rowing by narrow boats
There comes  the songs of distant immersing
By fish-fins before the hostile air.
The Bengali version was first published in the
	Eid issue of Prothom Alo.
