1,000 stranded at Benapole
Some 1,000 India-bound Bangladeshis remained stranded here since yesterday morning as they were denied entry into the neighbouring country despite having passports.
The Indian border guards and customs authorities prevented the Bangladeshis from entering India following a feud between the BSF and the customs, according to an information received from across the border.
Outraged by the denial of entry, the India-bound Bangladeshis, came here from different parts of the country by night coaches, blocked the main road in the area, halting export-import between the two countries.

Hundreds of goods-laden truck remained stranded on both sides of the border.
