12 shops gutted
Properties worth about Tk 40 lakh were damaged as 12 shops gutted in fire in the Shekharnagar Kalimandir Bazar under Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj early yesterday.
The shops include gold, stationary, grocery, phone, CD-Video and cloth shops.
The fire broke out at about 1.30am.

Fire brigade allegedly showed negligence in acting promptly.
Munshiganj fire station said fire fighters left the station for the spot at 4.20am.
The traders of the market said the fire originated from a shop of Ratan Bhai's Market.
Reason of the fire could not be ascertained till filing this report.
