161 weapons seized in last 30 days

Election monitoring cell of Democracywatch prepared the report on the basis of the reports published in different national dailies from April 15 to May 15, a press release said.

In division-wise review, the report shows that 23 weapons, 13 hand grenades, 25 cocktails and 32 bullets were recovered from Dhaka division; while six weapons, 26 hand grenades and bombs, and 1200 bullets from Rajshahi division; nine weapons, 25 hand grenades and bombs, and 28 bullets from Khulna division; eight weapons and three bullets from Barisal division; 111 weapons, three hand grenades, 13 cocktails and 252 bullets from Chittagong division and four weapons and four bombs were recovered from Sylhet division.
