17 staffs are Islamist extremists !
In his diary, Sharfuddin said there are 17 Islamist extremists in the factory at Shiromoni in the Khulna city. They are working there in the guise of workers and employees, he added.
According to general diary, the extremists are Shaikh Golam Mostafa, Abdul Bari, Atahar Ali, Anisur Rahman, Abdul Aziz Biswas, Mujibar Rahman Morol, Maulana Harun-ar-Rashid, SM Rabiul Huq Masum, Rabiul Karim, Alamgir Hossain, Sheikh Rabiul Islam, Abdul Kader Khan, Baig Kamruzzaman, Md Bazlur Rahman, Saiful Islam Shaltu, Shah Jamal Chowdhury and Atiar Rahman.
The matter about the general diary filed by the Managing Director came to light only after police started investigation into the allegation from Wednesday.
Sharfuddin could not be contacted for his comment over phone as he is now in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, Cable Shilpa Employees' Union President Sheikh Golam Mostafa, who is one of the 17 accused in the GD, refuting the allegation said Sharfuddin is a liar. Mostafa said the managing director is falsely implicating the innocent staff of the factory as Islamist extremists to divert our ongoing movement against his corruption.
We cannot take lightly the general diary filed by no less a person than managing director of an industry, said a senior Khulna Metropolitan Police officer.
