18 vulgar films seized in city
Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) seized 18 films containing vulgar and objectionable scenes from a house at Shantinagar in the city on Friday night.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of DB police raided the residence of Sharif Khan Dipu at Shantinagar Road and seized the films, a DMP press release said yesterday.
The DB police also arrested two persons in this connection. They are Bazlur Rahman and Mohammad Abu Taher.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The vulgar films were illegally screened at different cinema halls of the country. Legal actions were taken in this connection, the release said.
