2 godowns of Meghna Oil Mill gutted in N'ganj

Fire Brigade sources said an electrical short-circuit sparked off the fire at about 10:00am, which swept through the two godowns, damaging machines and other goods.

Fire fighters rushed to the scene at about 10:30am and extinguished the blaze after a struggle for two and a half hours.

The loss was estimated at about Tk 1 crore.
