Two died and two others of the same family were injured in a head on collision between a bus and a CNG run autorickshaw at Mohakhali yesterday.

Duty-doctors declared Ambia Begum, 40, and her mother-in-law Mariam Begum, 60, dead after they were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) following the accident.

Mariam's son Ashraf Mallik, 30, and Ambia's son Mizanur Rahman, 25, who were also rushed to the DMCH, are undergoing treatment.

The ill-fated four came to Dhaka from Bagerhat on Tuesday for Mariam's medical treatment. They were going to Bangabandhu Sheikh

Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMUH) by the autorickshaw when a bus coming from the opposite direction hit with the autorickshaw near the Mohakhali flyover.

Gulshan police seized the bus and a private car which was also involved in the accident. The bus driver escaped capture.
