3 killed in city road accidents
Three people including two women were killed in three separate road accidents yesterday in the city.
Parul Begum, 30, a house wife while returning home after sending her son at a nearby madrasa was run over by a train in Kuril Rail Crossing at around 2:30 pm.
When locals took her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), on duty doctors declared her dead.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. In another incident, a speedy bus hit Kutub Bepary, 28, while he was crossing the road near the slope of Babubazar Bridge (2nd Buriganga Bridge) at around 10:00am and he died there on the spot.
In a separate incident, a woman was flattened beyond identification on the road as she was run over by a number of heavy vehicles at Progoti Sarony Bishwa Road.
Badda Police recovered her body in the early hours of yesterday.
All the bodies were sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
