31 more dengue patients hospitalised

The DCC said 319 patients are now undergoing treatment at different city hospitals and clinics and 25 people were released from hospitals on Saturday.

While visiting the hospitals and clinics, health workers of the DCC found 17 new dengue patients at Holy Family Hospital, four at Sumona Clinic, three at Shamarita Hospital, two each at Mitford Hospital and Bangladesh Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and one each at Bangladesh Community Hospital, Police Hospital and Parkway Hospital.

The DCC asked the city dwellers not to panic saying it is continuing to fog and spray larvicide within 500-yard perimeters of the houses of a dengue-infected patients.

It also appealed to all to keep their houses and surroundings clean to help stop the spread of Aedes mosquitoes.
