A total of 52,286 Bangladeshi pilgrims have reached Jeddah as the last Hajj flight of Bangladesh Biman carrying 232 pilgrims left Dhaka at noon yesterday.

Bangladesh Biman ferried 42,399 pilgrims and the remaining 9,887 went to Jeddah by other international airlines, said a Biman press release.

The Biman could not use six slots, out of 105, due to non-availability of Hajj pilgrims. It has arranged 99 dedicated Hajj flights, schedule fights and advancement flights to ferry the pilgrims.

Biman will start its return flights on January 13 and will continue up to February 7, the press release added.
