6 shops gutted in Ctg fire

Sources said the fire broke out at a semi-pucca shop at Haque Market at Bahaddar Hat Intersection in the morning and spread soon to adjoining shops.

Three groceries and three shoe shops were gutted in the fire damaging properties worth Tk 9 lakh, fire sources said.

Seven fire fighting units from different fire stations rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire after struggling for one hour.

The fire originated from an electric short circuit.
