772 employees threaten to immolate tomorrow

After a three-day sit-in programme from July 9 to 11, the officials and employees have been observing fast unto death in the city to realise their demands for arrear salaries of 25 months and transfer of jobs to revenue sector.

The decision to immolate themselves was taken after getting no specific assurance during their discussions with the minister, the secretary and the director general of the ministry regarding their demands on three occasions, the press release added.
