Acting president authenticates budgets
Acting President Barrister Muhammad Jamiruddin Sircar yesterday authenticated the supplementary budget 2005-2006 and the proposed new budget for 2006-2007 fiscal year for placing in the Jatiya Sangsad.
The approval was given at the President's office at the Sangsad Bhaban "immediately after the cabinet approved the same," an official announcement said.
Finance Minister M Saifur Rahman later placed the new national budget and the supplementary budget in parliament.
