Admonish people against militancy Khatib urges imams
Moulana Obaidul Haque, khatib of National Mosque Baitul Mokarram, urged all khatibs and imams of the mosques in the country to deliver speech against the Islamist militants during their Friday sermons before Juma prayers.
"You know, Islam does not support militancy, bomb attacks, anarchy and extremism, so admonish people giving references from the Qur'an and hadith in this regard," Obaidul Haque said in a general appeal to the imams and khatibs.
He also requested them to preach against militancy and bring out processions along with religious people protesting against recent bomb attacks in the next Juma.
