AL rejects uni-track edn system

Awami League rejected outright the unified education system and termed it anti-people, anti-national, backward-looking and is averse to scientific education.

The main opposition party demanded its annulment, not postponement.

Demanding the scrapping of the uni-track education system, Education and Human Resource Development Secretary Nurul Islam Nahid in a statement said though the alliance government has postponed the system under the pressure of the people and also due to the movement, it is still hanging on the heads of learners.

He said the alliance government, at the beginning of this project, looted Tk500 crore in the name of printing books and the process was underway to loot hundreds of crores of taka.
