Alliance with war criminals condemned
Condemning the formation of the alliance with war criminals and autocrats, opposition Awami League lawmaker Asaduzzaman Noor at a seminar yesterday said, "Assuming power could be a target for politician. But it should not be achieved by making alliance with anyone and everyone."
Bangabandhur Adarsha O Muktijuddher Chetanay Bishwasi Progotisheel Shikkhak Samaj (BAMCBPSS), a platform of Pro-AL teachers, organised the seminar titled "Bangabandhu and today's Bangladesh" at proposed Zahir Raihan auditorium on the campus to mark the 31st death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Prof Sharif Enamul Kabir presented a keynote paper in the seminar with BAMCBPSS President Prof Amir Hossain Khan in the chair.

"All universities that are run by 1973 University Ordinance should officially observe the day as Bangabandhu has given the highest honour to the university teachers by enacting the law," said Prof Abdul Bayes, former JU vice-chancellor.
