Anwarul Haq gets another extension
M Anwarul Haq, minister (press) at Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, has been given the extension for another year, according to a notification of the establishment ministry issued yesterday.
This is the second time he has been given the extension.
Anwarul Haq was the president of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) for two terms.
He was the city editor, chief reporter and diplomatic and defence correspondent of The Daily Star besides working for the defunct Morning Sun and writing for other newspapers and journals.
He was also the editor of The Endeavour.
He was associated with the Leo and Lions movement and long-term
secretary general of Old Faujians Association.
He did his honours and masters in International Relations from Dhaka University.
