The girl, Tahmina, needs an immediate kidney transplant, which involves about Tk 1.5 lakh.

But her father Md Tobarak Chowdhury, an employee of a private security service and resident of Shewrapara, Mirpur, cannot afford such an expensive treatment.

He appealed to all to extend a helping hand to save his daughter's life.

Morshedia Begum, 22, has appealed for financial assistance for her treatment as she has been suffering from breast tumour and both of her heart valves have been damaged, says a press release.

She is now under treatment of Dr Momenuzzaman of Heart Foundation at Mirpur in the city.

She needs immediate heart valve transplant, which involves about Tk four lakh. But she is not in a position to bear such a huge cost.

Morshedia urged the generous people to extend a helping hand to save her life.
