Appeal for help

Towshik Raian Khan, a one-year-old boy, has been suffering from Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia (Blood Cancer).

Toushik, son of Md Tarek Imtiaz Khan, is now undergoing treatment at Haematology Ward of Dhaka Shishu Hospital under the supervision of Prof Syed Khaiul Amin.

Doctors are now giving Towshik chemotherapy along with blood transfusion to keep him alive.

They said after chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplantation may be needed. This will cost Tk 30 to 35 lakh, they added.

Tarek, an official of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation, is not in a position to afford this expensive treatment.

So he has appealed for help from the generous people of the society.
