Army officer killed in road accident
Major Galib Chowdhury of Jessore Cantonment was killed in a road accident on Jessore-Benapole road at Jhikargachha on Saturday night.
The accident took place at about 11:00pm when Major Galib, 34, was returning to the cantonment from Satkhira by his private car.
Police said he was driving the car but lost control over the steering, crashing into a roadside tree. He died on the spot.

Major Galib was a son of Major (retd.) Abdul Awal Chowdhury.
