Arrest of perpetrators demanded
The leaders at the rally, chaired by revolutionary personality Binod Bihari Chowdhury, accused UP Chairman Aminur Rahman Chowdhury, also cousin of local lawmaker and state minister for forests and environment Jafrul Islam Chowdhury, as the mastermind of gruesome carnage.
They demanded measures to bring all the criminals involved in the incident to justice and protested 'ongoing' oppression on the religious minorities in the country.
Council leader advocate Rana Das Gupta, former president of Chittagong District Lawyers' Association advocate Safiul Azam, Mohila Parishad leader Bijoy Laksmi Devi and Tegengra Lal Shil's family member Nirmal Shil, addressed on the occasion.
