Attack on indigenous woman condemned
Bangladesh Adivashi Adhikar Andolon, an organisation of the indigenous people, yesterday condemned the attack on an indigenous woman by forest guards of Modhupur Garh and demanded punishment to the responsible, says a press release.
Quoting a news published yesterday, the organisation said forest guards shot and injured Shishilia Slan, 26, as she went to forest for collecting firewood along with some other indigenous women on August 21.
Shishilia is a mother of two children and she is not out of danger yet, the press release said.
