Sayed Kawsar Hussain Siddiki Raja, chief of the banned militant outfit Shahadat-e Al Hiqma, was once again granted bail by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in a sedition case.

He was freed from Rajshahi Central Jail on November 3 after Magistrate Afzal Hossain granted the bail the previous day.

Kawsar had been in jail since November 6 last year when he along with five others stormed into Boalia Police Station to know why he was barred from holding a press conference in the city.

Kawsar reorganised his group and stormed into the police station a few months after he was granted bail in another sedition case filed in March 2003. The case was still under trial. He was granted bail in the case on April 14, 2004.

DB Inspector Ranabeer Chakma filed the latest sedition case on April 13 this year in which he alleged that the 20-year-old Kawsar launched Al Hiqma to create anarchy in the country.
