BCL ultimatum to CU athorities
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Chittagong University (CU) unit yesterday gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the university authorities demanding release of one of its leaders arrested on Wednesday night.
The BCL leaders at a rally yesterday threatened to enforce an indefinite student strike at the university from tomorrow if their demand is not met.
Mohammed Jahidul Islam Jewel, assistant science and technology secretary of the BCL university unit, was arrested after a case was filed by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on March 22.
