BCLT teachers, staffs seek CA's intervention for arrear salary
Although the institution provides skilled manpower to the country's thrusting leather industry, most of its teachers and staff are deprived of their salaries as the project under which they were recruited ended in June 2005, Academic In-charge of BCLT Dr Md Abdul Mottalib said at a press conference at BCLT auditorium in the capital.
Only a few teachers of BCLT, who are posted there under deputation from different government departments, are getting regular salary while the job of 28 teachers and 60 staff was under the project that was launched in July 1997
In view of the importance of different projects for national development, the immediate past government shifted the manpower of a number of projects to the revenue sector, he said, adding that the caretaker government can shift the manpower of BCLT development project to the revenue sector on the same ground.
