BFUJ, DUJ Protest
Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) yesterday condemned attacks on journalists in Chittagong and demanded immediate arrest and punishment to the culprits responsible for the attacks, says a press release.
In a joint statement, BFUJ President Manzurul Ahsan Bulbul, Secretary General Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan, DUJ President Altaf Mahmud and General Secretary Omar Faruk also demanded compensation to the wounded journalists.
The BFUJ and DUJ leaders said that the policemen present there only played the role of spectators.
