BNP leader robbed of Tk 2.5 lakh in Sylhet

Golam Kibria Chowdhury Shahin, president of the Golapganj Pourashava BNP and director of the Dreamland Park, was going to Golapganj by an autorickshaw after withdrawing the money from a bank in Sylhet city, sources said.

When he reached near the Fulbari Union Parishad office at about 2:30pm, four armed muggers riding on two motorbikes intercepted the autorickshaw and snatched away the money.

Shahin filed a case with the Golapganj police, but none has yet been arrested.
