BNP men burn Prothom Alo, Janakantha in Tangail

Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal leaders at a meeting also declared local correspondents of the dailies persona non grata and pledged to resist the distribution of the dailies at Tangail.

The daily Prothom Alo and Janakantha recently carried out stories that revealed that Azad bought properties of Islamic Trade and Commerce Limited (ITCL) for a nominal price. The government closed the ITCL for unauthorised banking activities few years back.

Ali Imam Tapan presided over the meeting held at district BNP office.

Prior to the rally, the ruling party men also beat Abul Khayer, a local newspaper agent.
