Bring killers of my husband to justice
Speaking at Dhaka Reporters' Unity auditorium, Rahela Khatun, wife of slain landless labourer Abdul Majed, who was killed allegedly by some local influential quarters on August 4 last year, alleged that the criminals, who killed her husband before her eyes, have a friendly relationship with the local police and they are now threatening the victim's family members and witnesses of the killing to withdraw the case.
She alleged that the killers roam around freely in the locality.

Although the investigation is complete, the officer-in-charge (OC) of local police station did not submit the final report to the court, Rahela added.
She urged the authorities to take measures to withdraw false cases against the victim's relatives and to ensure impartial investigation of her husband's murder case and trial of the criminals.
