CARE-NILG deal to strengthen local govt bodies

Hasan M Mazumdar, deputy country director of CARE and Mohammad Arfan Ali, director general of NILG, signed the accord on behalf of respective sides at a simple ceremony at NILG auditorium at Agargaon in the city, said a press release.

CARE and Ministry of LGRD and Cooperatives under the leadership of NILG have initiated a year-long training programme funded by USAID to enhance the capacity of 11,550 representatives of 492 union parishads, 16 pourasabhas and a city corporation within the Shouhardo programme operation area.
